Grandparents Day took place during Catholic Schools Week, for the children of Rang 1 and Rang 5.
We as a school community, want to acknowledge the wonderful
contribution Grandparents play in the lives of the students in our school.
The day afforded children the opportunity to welcome their Grandparents into their school/classroom and show them samples of their work, share stories and play games.
Below are some of the children from Ms. Hyland’s First Class with their Grandparents. The special visitors were presented with beautiful cards and St Brigid’s crosses made by the children.
Fr Adrian very kindly offered to help us lead a prayer service to commemorate, this wonderful occasion.
A special word of thanks to the teachers involved in these classes for helping the children, in their preparation of this day. A huge thank you to all the staff who helped make the Grandparents feel welcome in our school.
