June 2026
Another year has come to an end. Once again we thank all the school community who have contributed to making our school such a fantastic place for staff to work in and children to learn in. We appreciate the work of parents and guardians in supporting our work here in school. After a year of changes in management and highs and lows within the school community we wish you all a lovely summer giving you a chance to spend time with your families and recharge the batteries. Below is a glimpse of some of the activities that occured during this month.
Sports Days
School Tours
We’ve had lovely trips to various parts of the county and beyond this month.
Junior infants and 1st classes travelled to Lullymore. Senior Infants went to Jungle den. 2nd class headed to Kilcullen to the Let’s go camp. 3rd class and 5th class included a water element to their tour in Fort Lucan and The national aquatic centre respectively. 4th class enjoyed a day in Redhills and 6th class made the journey to Emerald Park.
Attendance
At the end of every term we acknowledge all the students who were able to attend school every day or nearly every day of the term. Mr. Goff and Ms. Hennelly presented these children with their gold, silver or bronze certificates.
Teachers v students
As per tradition the 6th class pupils took on the teachers in a fantastic display of skill this week. The teachers remain the reigning champions despite the best efforts of the 6th class.
End of Year Mass & Music Day
Thank you to Ms. Boyle for organising our end of year mass where the whole school get an opportunity to come together on our school field.
Awards night
Well done to Emmet & Naomi, David and Catherine, Rafael & Ella and Matthew & Irina on winning the coveted 6th class awards this year. Well done to all who attended the Awards night.
School Band
Our School Band has had a wonderful year of music and performance. We are incredibly proud of the students’ dedication and enthusiasm. A sincere thank you to the teachers who generously gave their time and support throughout the year, your commitment has been greatly appreciated and has contributed greatly to the success of the band.
Student council
Student council members received their certs for all their work throughout the year. We also held our elections for next years senior captain at the end of the month.
